Covid-19 Precautions

We are looking forward to welcoming back all of our customers from Saturday 4th July after such a long time closed, please familiarise yourself with the guidance below prior to your visit.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic we have updated how we manage and operate here at The Kings Head. The changes we have implemented are based on the guidance we have received from HM Government, Public Health England and the National Health Service, supported by industry specific advice from UK Hospitality.

  • Please do not come to the pub if you are feeling unwell and let us know if you start to feel unwell during your visit.

  • Please be prepared to leave your contact details when you visit us in case you need to be contacted so we can successfully combat the spread of COVID19and keep each other safe and healthy.

  • New Government guidance requires our customers by law to wear a face mask when entering, exiting or moving around inside the premises. Your mask can be removed whilst eating and drinking at a table but worn at all other times including frequenting the toilets.

  • We will be operating a one way system through the two front doors of the pub one way in and one way out. Hand sanitiser will be available to our guests and staff at all entrances.

  • We continue to operating table service only for all visitors to the Kings Head. Tables in the restaurant area are for diners only and tables in our bar area, snug, frontage, courtyard and garden are available to both diners and drinkers alike – please try to book ahead and reserve a table for a meal or for drinks so that you know we can accommodate you.

  • Customers should only use the toilets one person at a time and please maintain an appropriate distance when queuing. There will be an increased frequency in the cleaning and disinfection of high touch areas throughout the pub to ensure the safety of our customers and our team.

  • New Government guidance now restricts all parties to a maximum of 6 individuals including children. Please ensure your children and pets remain with your party to maintain social distancing for all of our customers’ safety.

  • New Government guidance means that the pub is required to close to the public at 10pm every evening with last orders at 9.30pm. This excludes Sundays when the pub closes at 9pm with last orders called at 8.30pm.

  • Our menus are now laminated so they can be sanitised after each use.

  • Salt and pepper shakers will be removed and available on request they will also be sanitized after each use; condiments will be served in pots on request. As always the highest food safety standards will continue to be maintained.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these strange and unusual times!
